Sacrifices

Perhaps they thought it was great to watch their precious baby grow and learn and develop. But look at all the sleep they lost when I cried all night long. I was almost a year old before I started sleeping through the night. I would fall asleep when we were driving, so my parents would take the longest route everywhere just to give me a nap. When I got older, they sacrificed watching the news or their favorite TV show just to read me a story at bedtime.
