Rules for a Reason

We all hate rules. Admit it. While rules are the very thread this world hangs by today, you still never hear many people say, “Gee, rules are cool.” Even some of the very politicians who plan and support our nation’s law books seem to wander from what they should enforce. Sure, many feel being the brown-noser, do-good, teacher’s pet kinda citizen is not relevant. This is true. But the fact remains: Rules exist for a reason!
Among my list of rules I’m using to support this argument is (sorry, kids) Honor Your Mother and Father. For one thing, their rules are for your own welfare. I remember a time long ago when my mom told me not to go to the fish hatchery down the street because it was guarded by a dog. Being the mischievous child I was, I ignored her advice.
