This version is sung rather than spoken. Which may make it more appealing to younger people and people who are not keen on poetry. The producer has followed the lines of the play very well and the changes of scene are almost in perfect harmony with the words of the poem; for example when the lines in the poem say “I saw the yellow sunlight fall on knolls where Norman churches stand” There is a shot of the man walking along the path at the top of the screen with sunlight coming through some trees and the light really looks yellow and the leaves give off a wonderful vibrant colour.

So the producer has thought very hard and long with the shots that he uses and puts them together very well.
The choice of music and the choice to use singing to portray the poem is unusual but adds to the affect of making it a very peaceful and relaxing poem. The subtle tones of the piano and the increases in volume for example when “prolonged the roar” is sung the...
