Emotions of Romeo and Juliet


I have currently been studying Shakespeare’s tragedy Romeo and Juliet. I have been looking at the emotions that the play creates. There are a very wide range of emotions expressed in the play such as love, violence, hate, and many more. The characters themselves create a lot of emotion as well as the storyline itself.

Romeo and Juliet is about two feuding families the Capulets and the Montagues. Romeo is a Montague and is very impulsive and passionate.
“We met we wooed …to marry us today”
Juliet is a Capulet she is just 14 years old and falls in love with Romeo. In the Beginning of the play Romeo is in love with Rosalyn who knows not of his existence, after seeing her name on a invitation to the Capulet’s fancy dress party, he and his friends, Benvolio and Mercutio, decide to crash the party and it is here that he falls in love with Juliet and her with him the moment the lay eyes on each other.
