Romeo and juliet

Many of Shakespeare’s plays have been made into movies. Most recently two different versions of Romeo and Juliet were produced. In 1968 Franco Zeffirelli directed a classic version and in 1996 Baz Luhrmann directed a modern version. There were many differences between the two movies.

The settings for the two movies were very different. In Franco Zeffirelli’s version the story took place in the 1500’s Italy. In Baz Luhrmann’s version, it took place in a modern day times in a big city.
