A female role model should be a person that truly stands up for what she believes in. Many women today do not have such values to pass down to our youth. It is depressing to see how television and movies degrade the women nowadays. Such things like that should not be allowed to happen. Although these things may occur, it is still pleasing to think about some women in the past whose actions are very commendable and admirable.
Saint Joan of Arc is truly a woman of great courage, passion and conviction. She was born in 1412 to a family of seven. While working in the fields of her village, she was called Jeannette, but later on when she discovered her mission, she was then called Joan, the Maid.
