A vacant sandlot, in itself, probably would not be considered an attractive. However, combined with ten children and a baseball, then just sit back and take in the experience. Sandlot baseball is something one can watch in just about any city in America. If a person has never seen the excitement of the children playing and acting out their fantasies on the field, then they have missed a great time.
I remember the sandlot where I learned the game. It was a vacant lot behind my apartment, a place where I would go hang out with my best friends and play some ball. A place where I spent a lot of afternoons, and where endless amount of games took place. I still hear the voices of neighbors yelling at us to go home because of the sponge balls we hit against their walls and windows. We took the time to spray painted lines to use as base paths, the worn out rug squares...
