Review of the Article by Hal Childs on the book by Donald Capps"Jesus: A Psychological Biography"

The article reviewed, in this particular paper, is based within the review of a book by Donald Capps called, Jesus: A Psychological Biography . In the Article the author makes a very valid statement, “Jesus Christ is the ultimate model of the God-person relationship in the Christian west. Therefore, any serious attempt to render a realistic portrait of Jesus using contemporary modes of describing reality has the possibility of effecting a profound transformation of the images of God and Jesus.” However, he goes on to negate his own ideology by attempting to promote the ideology that Jesus had an agenda of His own.
The suggestion that Jesus had a psychological development no different than the rest of mankind is acceptable to a point. Yet, to say it was “a perfect development with few if any flaws” is more than I can stomach.
