Resolutions

Resolutions for the new New Year is a very sad tale indeed. Many news paper journalists know that what they write will be read by many. This knowledge strikes in them a fear to produce good works. Others simply take pride in the work they do. Although fear of failure and pride in one’s work spurs most on these, motivating factors appear to be missing in this particular McLaren article. This paper doesn’t just criticise but it also attempts to shed light where there is none. Her article is both ridiculous and enlightening if the reader gives it time to sink in.
“North Americans who (consciously or not) are held captive by the belief that the Tuesday after Labour Day is the true spiritual beginning of the calendar year.” She states this with confidence but does not add facts to prove her point.
