Resistance

Resistance is the amount of effort put forth by a material to slow down the energy running through it. Materials with high resistance are referred to as conductors. They have a low resistance. Conductors are used commonly in making wires. They are best for this job because when electricity flows through them, only a small amount is lost along the way. This makes them more efficient. Some common conductors are copper, gold. and water.
