Religious College Essay

“If you were to die to die now where would you go?” asked my youth pastor. This question caused me to consider the thought about religion seriously for the first time. On June 15, 1999 I accepted Christ into my heart, and that is now and will forever be the best decision I have ever made.
When I was a young child I went to church with my grandparents, but my parents didn’t go unless it was Easter or Christmas. I knew what I was doing, but I was not sure exactly why I was there because I was too young to fully understand God. I would travel to church and proceed to Sunday school every week for some reason. I attended class and learned a lot about the bible and its characters, but all of these things were soon to disappear. After a few years my grandparents moved away so my family stopped going altogether, causing my sister and I to drift away from the previous ideas taught to us in our church.
