Religion is quite possibly one of the silliest concepts I’ve ever encountered; especially in today’s society. There’s simply no need for it anymore. Religion was created thousands of years ago when people didn’t know any better. It made sense back then more so than it does now. The unknown manifests fear and therefore people are afraid of what they don’t understand.
Thousands of years ago there needed to be some common understanding of why and how things came to be – religion. Some guy simply sat down and made it up. People had fears about the unknown which needed answering and they gladly accepted any ideas that would ease their fears. Religion also helped control the general population. It used spooky language and abstract ideas in order to control its followers. There were no reasonable person or etiquette standards. Religion helped to set this up.
