The Catholic Church relates scripture and tradition by showing that tradition molded and formed the base for the Biblical scriptures. Tradition, throughout time, creates a way of life and the scriptures were a reflection of what tradition was and where it wanted to go more than 2,000 years ago. Tradition and the scriptures were determined by the magisterium. The magisterium was a form of a teaching authority that determined what was what. This job is very important from not only the beginning of time, but in detemining what is what in today's world as well.
