Reflective Equilibrium

1. Reflective Equilibrium refers to the process involved during moral deliberation. It is a term used to explain how, upon facing a moral dilemma, we decide what actions to take or not take based on our moral beliefs and supporting our decision based upon principals of why this action/inaction was justified.
This concept is generally applied everyday that one makes a decision but it is rarely thought about. The reason behind this is your everyday decisions are fairly clear cut, but it is when you are faced with an unclear decision that you would bring this concept forward and utilize it to justify why you have decided the way you did in this unclear situation. Then you would have further refined your principal belief and have something to pull from the next time you are faced with a similar dilemma.
