The spider monkey is considered to be a New World monkey. It has an exceptionally long tail and legs in relation to its body length. The tail is extremely flexible. Its is 16 to 21 inches long. It weighs up to 19 pounds. The Spider monkey has a life span of about 25 -30 years. Its reproductive age is 4 to 5 years. They reproduce every 225 to 232 days. They give birth to one baby at a time.
