Recipe for Peace

Predicting the future is difficult. We usually rely on the past and the present to foretell the future. Looking into the past, we realize people have not only constructed magnificent civilizations, but also waged brutal wars. Nowadays, with the advent of weapons of mass destruction, we run the risk of human annihilation. Although it is our hope that the future will be a peaceful one, this remains to be seen.
As the famous computer programmer Alan Kay said, the best way to predict the future is to invent it. Merely hoping for a better future will not bring us one. If we are to overcome violence and achieve a peaceful world, we ought to find out a way to invent a peaceful future. To that end, I¡¯d like to introduce you a Korean dish called Bibimbap.
