Realization

All things that happen in life have a purpose whether it be to find yourself and who you really are or something insignificant, for example if you find that you like a certain type of food that you never knew of before. The things that we go through in life are like road bumps. Either we take the time to go over them and safely get through without hurting anything, or just plow right through them and risk hurting something or maybe even someone.
I was born and raised in the Philippines and pretty much grew up under the supervision of my grandparents. My mother was only with my sister and me for a short time, before she decided to make the sacrifice to be away from us and come here to America to create a better life for the sake of our future. Because I grew up with my grandmother, I was very close to her. She taught me things in life that I greatly appreciate, because without them I would not be the person that I am today.
