Rap Sub Culture

Most people in this world are active in some sort of subculture. A great amount of those people also conceive many subcultures. As for me, I am going to focus primarily on one of my subcultures we all call rap.
Popular music can be divided into genres: heavy metal, techno, country and "world music" are just a few examples. In many cases, these genres are associated with subcultures, which are audiences that share similar demographic features. Rap genre preferences, follow discernible trends in terms mostly of color or race. A subculture, though, is more than just a grouping of demographically similar individuals.
As a starting point, a subculture can be thought of as "a cultural group or class within a larger culture, esp. one having beliefs, interests, customs etc., at variance with those of the larger culture.
