Greene King Pub Company is one of the largest pub companies in the U.K., owning hundreds of pubs and inns. It was founded in Bury St, Edmunds in 1086. At present the vast majority of its pubs are family oriented and run in conjunction with the Hungry Horse restaurant chain. Over the past summer the author has worked for a number for Greene King pubs in the greater Manchester area.
