One day Maggie and her mom were home watching TV when a seatbelt awareness commercial came on. This started Maggie thinking.

“Mommy, why do we have to wear seatbelts?” Maggie asked. Her mom replied, “So you don’t fly out of the car honey.” “Why do you fly out of the car?” “Um….inertia I think.” “What’s that?” “Uhh….I don’t know but I think I know who does?”

Maggie’s mom got on the phone and called up her brother, the science teacher at the local high school.

“I’ve got a surprise for you Maggie, your uncle Mitch is here to answer all your questions!” Just then Uncle Mitch busted through the door, “It’s me Unky Mitch. I’m here to teach you about inertia.”
