Puritans

The country we live in, its ideals, its culture, and basically the whole of society is founded on the viewpoints of our country’s original settlers, the Puritans. Their views on intolerance of things that are different from them are still very much followed by many. Just look at what happened right after September 11, 2001. There were many unpublicized murders of Islamic convenience store workers. The news didn’t stay on this subject to question why it happened, and there were very few arrests made. This simply shows that we are a nation that likes to hate. Also in the mid eighties, the catholic church started to target roleplaying games such as Dungeons and Dragons and Vampire: The Masquerade. These games dwelt in fantasy worlds, and the church started to take notice of how “their” children were being “Corrupted” by this thing that was misunderstood.
