Puritan LetterDear Elizabeth, Things have been particularly well living in the nicely organized community. I feel comfortable being that everyone is in fact of Puritan nature and beliefs. It is very nice living in America however there has been one incident within this community that has me all disheveled. Mary Anna who is a woman that I have spoken with on several occasions. She and I met and she had seemed like a very innocent girl and a pleasure to talk to. I must have been mistaken. Yesterday, my neighbor to the left Lydia said she had an urgent topic that we needed to discuss among us Puritan women. I along with several other women in our community retreated to Eliza's home up top the largest hill in our county. There, Lydia broke us the news of the devilish happenings that have occurred in town. Turns out that May Anna is pregnant out of wedlock, and the father of her illegitimate child is unknown and has blatantly vanished from the premises of our community. ...
