I believe that the Protestant Reformation was not only inevitable, but it saved the church from total corruption. Without the this reformation the church would’ve continued its horrific acts of buying indulgences, battling over power, and abusing the power they already had. The Papacy was becoming far too power and money hungry for its own good and it hurt the other churches and even the people who attended these churches. The only people that stopped the Papacy from becoming too crooked were reformers like Martin Luther and John Calvin.
The first reason why the Protestant Reformation was inevitable was the indulgences that some catholic Priests were offering. For a large sum of money a man or woman could have their sins repented so that they would be allowed into heaven. This...
