PROLOGUE: DEDICATION TO PEACE

This essay did change my views on the Vietnamese people that assisted the Viet Cong during the war. As Americans, we were taught that we went to Vietnam to stop the spread of communism. We were taught that America was on a righteous path of helping a country that did not want to be under the control of the terrible dictator Ho Chi Minh. This passage put in perspective what the Vietnamese people were being taught.
