Strategy

Strategy is the direction and the scope of an organisation over the long term, which achieves advantage for the organisation through its configuration of resources within a changing environment and to fulfil stakeholder expectations.

Levels of Strategy

There are four levels of Strategy:

 Corporate-level strategy: This is concerned with the overall purpose and the scope of the organisation and how value will be added to the different parts (business units) of the organisation.
 Business-unit strategy: This is about how to compete successfully in particular markets.
 Strategic business unit: This is a part of an organisation for which there is a distinct external market for goods or/and services that is different from another strategic business unit (SBU).
