Problem Solving

Arthur Reed, work supervisor at the Blue Grocery Stores, has been experiencing a problem with temporary workers. Arthur, according the text has been in the grocery business for twenty years. I believe with that much experience, management would be smooth sailing, but it is not. The summer months have been frustrating to Arthur because of the lack of dependable employees. His employees take sick day call-ins on a daily and weekly basic. Which only allows Arthur no time at all to adjust to the shortage of personnel. He in turn goes to the temporary worker and tell them fill in the worker. This is why I believe that the key problem is the lack of firm management and the lack of dependable employees.
Arthur in the text is said to have earned a lot of respect within in the industry, but I see that he might not be firm with dealing with the sick day call-in issue. I would think that he would address the issue, since he is aware that the problem happens only in the summer time according to ...
