Watchin’ the river flow
I decided
To channel off some river water
For myself.
For my own use.

Rules.
They told me I broke them.
Red lights flashing
Took me away.

To a cold place
Of boxes
Cages
Fences
Walls
Razor wire.

Electrified with shock.
In observation towers.
In cells,
Cell blocks,
The Yard
Where men like cattle roam
Not really free at all.
Just like other animals.

Guards
Shifts
Chains-of command
Obey orders and
Replicate their behavior in the population ...
