Précis of Earnest Hemingway
Earnest Miller Hemingway was perhaps the most widely known American author of the century. He came from humble beginnings in Illinois to Italy, Spain, France, and Cuba. Hemingway wrote many novels, novellas, plays and manuscripts, which are still read today. Throughout his novels Hemingway maintains a distinct writing style and incorporates many of the same themes. One of his primary themes is the coming of age theme, in which the protagonist grows up throughout the course of the story. Hemingway commonly uses the theme of romance under pressure in many of his novels. Hemingway was also a troubled man who suffered a terrible fate, but nonetheless Hemingway’s work has been influencing writers and people for years.
