President Bushay

President Bush has planned to speed the introduction of generic versions of brand name drugs. The bill was unanimously passed by the Senate Health committee on June 11th of this year. The induction of generic versions of these brand named drugs would add $13 million to the Food and Drug’s Administrations wallet which will thus allow the hiring of more employees.
Generic drugs would be beneficial to patients and over the counter users because it will be much cheaper than its brand name counterparts. Much of the elderly community has complained about the high costs of brand-named drugs. Hence, the only ones who are woefully against Bush’s proposal is the drug industry. This bill would penalize companies who make pacts with the makers of the brand-name drugs who try to slow the process of the introduction of its generic counterparts.
