Power of a hero

In the novel “The Power and the Glory”, Graham Greene uses the idea of “hero worship” in many of the character designs. A hero is, as described by Merriam Webster’s Dictionary, a man admired for his achievements and noble qualities or one that shows great courage. People in society feel that they need a hero to look up to or to worship to feel good about everyday life. No matter who the hero is the person will always respect him/her for what they have done to earn their noble traits. That is what the person will remember. In the novel, Greene shows how, through psychological perspectives, people worship heroes and why that person is classified as a hero.
