Population: tax filers from city of 100,000, or entire group of people filing taxes
Sample: 1,000 tax filers
Parameter of interest: % of tax filers who file on April 15th
Sample Statistic: 10% If random samples are same, same conf. Level,same moe.
Margin of error: +- 2% Dependent on sample size. NOT on population size
Confidence level: 95%

Observational study: no variables were ever manipulated. No treatment was engaged.
Explanatory variable: excess dna in patients, BC brings about change
Response variable: is # of people w/ orarl cancer, measured outcome of the study

Normal Distributions: mean=median. So same Q1, etc. Turkey median= 18lbs, SD: 5lbs
What percent of these turkeys weighted more than 16 pounds? 16-18/5= -.4, so 34.36. 100-34.36= 65.54% weighed more
