This poem has a certain flow to it as I illustrated above. The last word of the first and third lines, as well as the second and fourth lines in the first two stanzas rhyme. The last two words of the last two lines are proved and loved, which looks similar, but sounds different.

I think that the speaker of this poem is a female expressing her views to God about love. The speaker seems like she is in a sad mood.
