I'm Sorry Love
I found myself in a toasty blanket
thinking of my faulty love,
sweating as my heart quickly fell
and as its rate counteractively clumbed.
Wondering if he thought of me too,
I filled myself with anxiety and alarm...

until nervous silence broke with an alarm.
Unmotivated, I threw off the blanket,
chilling my heart and my toes too.
For now I had to push away my love
and towards the noise I forecefully climbed,
when strangely somehow silence fell.

It was in this moment when truth fell.
Was I imagining the sounding of an alarm?
Back into my bed I dumbfoundly climbed,
burying into the lonely, chilled blanket.
