We have been told our whole lives, "your relationship with the Lord is faltering, well then, you best be getting in the word more." " You mean you actually have those impure thoughts, you smoke cigars, etc." We are basically being fed that our faith is based merely on works, on what we can do to earn "grace." We are being told that we can by "grace" when it is a free gift. Grace is a FREE gift, something that is there for the taking, if we choose it. It is not something that we deserve!
