Do you want to do urban ministries? Just do it. Too long we have sat at the drawing board, too long we have strategized, and too long we have analyzed. Urban ministry is no different from any other ministry as far as the principles of ministry are concern. The main difference is context; that is where the people are. You cannot learn to swim if you do not spend time in the water.

Our Mind-set/Misplaced Emphasis
I believe this type of ministry has become a great challenge because we have forgotten what it means to be a disciple. Today our proselytizing comes with a lot of baggage. Indeed, “… knowledge puffed up, but charity edifieth.” Many of these new converts think that they are now righteous because they know a lot more than they knew before.
