Pinocchio

Pinocchio (1940) is based on the novel The Adventures of Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi. It is Disney’s second animated masterpiece and is directed by Hamilton Luske and Ben Sharpsteen. It stars Dickie Jones as the voice of Pinocchio, Cliff Edwards as the voice of Jiminy Cricket, and Christian Rub as the voice of Geppetto. (IMDB)

The film starts with Geppetto finishing a little, wooden puppet, that he names Pinocchio. He wishes that Pinocchio was a little boy to a shooting star and it comes true while he sleeps. The blue fairy arrives and transforms the little toy into a wooden boy and designates Jiminy Cricket as his conscience. When Geppetto discovers his wish came true, he is overjoyed. (Animated-movies)
