Renewable Energy sources

Wind power
1. Lots of windmills are put in exposed places such as round coasts.
2. There are generators inside each turbine so that the electricity is generated directly from the wind turning the blades, which turn the generator.
3. There is no pollution but it does ruin the scenery.
4. There is also a problem when there is no wind, as electricity cannot be generated.
5. The initial costs are high but there are no fuel costs and minimal running costs.

Hydroelectricity
1. This usually requires flooding on a plain with the use of a big dam.
2. Rainwater is collected is collected and allowed out through turbines
3. There is no pollution
4. The floods endanger the environment as many animals lose their habitat and the valleys are unattractive when there is no rain.
