Title: “Someone that had a significant effect upon me”.

Never trust a Salesman…

Andy was thirty-three. I was only eighteen. I met him at work. He was the Director and I was the short-skirted Secretary. As you can imagine, my parents weren’t happy with the situation, but I was. I knew it all. As a working woman with my own money, I didn’t need my parents now.

He made me laugh. He had pots of money, a nice BMW and he took me to fancy restaurants where he paid for everything. He bought me clothes, perfume and occasional flowers. Andy made me very happy and I loved him.

He soon earned the respect of my parents because they knew I thought the world of him. They witnessed the flowers, new clothes and gifts and they became very fond of him. He was making their youngest daughter very happy and he was soon accepted as part of the family.

He stood about five feet and six inches with mousy blond hair and spectacles. My brother used to call him the ‘Milkybar Ki...
