People's Support is the Key

In the play Julius Caesar, Shakespeare shows that in order to have power, it is imperative that one has the support of the people. He shows this by having three characters in the play that has power because they have the support of the people. The one character, Caesar, is powerful in the beginning of the play and he has the support of the people. The second character, Brutus, has the support of the people when Caesar dies, so he is powerful. Then the third character, Antony, has power because he persuades the people in his favor. That is why when a person has power it is because he/she has the support of the people.
The first character that has power is Julius Caesar. He is king at the time, and obviously has the support of the people. To ensure he has the support of the people he pulls a stunt where he is offered a crown three times and all three times he will not except it. He does this in front of a huge crowd and this excites them. It even says on page twenty-seven ...
