Paulo friere

The two authors Paulo Friere and Richard Rodriguez both discuss their ideas on education in their essays or stories and they both have very different opinions on it. Friere talks about how much he dislikes the way that the education system makes students depositories for facts and information bestowed upon them by a teacher. While Rodriguez discusses the fact that education is more what you make of it, whether you take it seriously or not and whether you apply that knowledge the teacher gives to you and make use of it.
Rodriguez definitely points out the fact that for him education was exactly what Friere called the Banking Concept, in which students are force fed facts and made to spew them back out to the teacher, and this was what made him a good student.
