CARLOS is a young South American lothario who is at Uni doing an Arts degree with SANDY. Whilst they have been acquainted, they have not been close. On this fortuitous occasion, both of them have a gap in their timetables. At Carlos’ instigation, Sandy has agreed to have her palm read by him. Sandy’s future is foremost on her mind. Carlos’ love life is foremost on Carlos’ mind.
CARLOS
You have very soft skin on your hands.
SANDY
(impatiently)

CARLOS

Carlos moves from gently massaging her right hand to caressing her forearm.
SANDY

CARLOS
(seriously)
Ohhh yes. But in my country, we believe that the arm is very attached to the hand.
