Palladium

Palladium is a project Microsoft has been working on, basically to provide greater security to networking, data, personnel privacy, and stopping software piracy and much more, it is believed to be incorporated with the future versions of Windows, and will be built on a TCPA, Trusted Computing Platform Alliance, hardware.
Palladium provides a computing platform on which you can't tamper with the applications, in a way where these applications can communicate securely with the vendor. Running an unlicensed software would be much harder. If a pirated software has been run on a machine it will be detected and deleted remotely!
Not to mention that, Microsoft might use this to encrypt its files in a way that the file will only open using a Microsoft product, for example MS Word would encrypt its files so you wouldn’t be able to use it with any other Word Proccessor.
On the other hand, if someone chooses not to run Palladium, they won’t be effected by it, piraced soft...
