Pablo Picasso Pablo Picasso was born in Malaga, Spain on October 25, 1881 to Maria Picasso Lopez and Jose Ruiz Blasco. His father was a teacher and an artist. He is one of the most famous artists in the world. When he was young he amazed his friends by drawing pictures without looking at the paper and without taking his pencil from the paper. He was a student under his father for a while. By the age of 15 he was technically skilled in drawing and painting. He also explored sculpture, ceramics and other art forms.
