Out of all the known various forms of birth control known to man, the most effective by far, is labor. When I was 19 years old, I was still young and naïve. I thought pregnancy would be a breeze. For many years , I had heard stories form my mother and grandmother how pregnancy and childbirth were both beautiful experiences. Shortly into the pregnancy, I did not feel or look beautiful or glowing with the morning sickness and the rapid weight gain and the swelling. Then I felt her move; now that was glorious. Now I knew that my grandmother and mother embellished their pregnancy. Still, the thought of labor and delivery frightened me deeply.
When the day finally came, it was very early in the morning when the first pain hit. I found myself full of anxiety, so I got out of bed and woke up Mom. She told me that it was just false labor pains and to go lay back down. As I sat down on my bed a pain shot up my spine and around to my belly; it felt like someone was ripping my stomach apart....
