The Ottoman Empire was one of the greastest dynasties in the world. It was also the longest lasting empire in the world. It lasted 643 years, from 1281 to 1924. The Ottoman Empire had many great leaders and also had some leaders who led to the fall of the empire.
The founder of the Ottoman Empire was Osman Gazi (also known as Osman Khan or Osman Bey). He came from a great line of leaders who had led the Kayi Tribe, which is a famous Turkish tribe. When Osman Gazi’s father died he was elected leader. He later got large tracts of land from the Byzantine Empire. When he got this land he was faced by an alliance by the Byzantine Emperors of Brusa and Nice and Yarhisar and Karadjahisar. Seeing this, he declared the Ottoman Empire to war. During the war, he attacked Nice and Karadjahisar.
