BALTIMORE -- The Orioles' injury carousel continues to turn quickly and claim more victims, with veteran B.J. Surhoff being the latest to head to the disabled list.
Surhoff, 38, strained his right hamstring in the eighth inning of Saturday's 6-1 win over Kansas City. Surhoff pulled up after rounding first base and thought he had prevented any major damage.

But he said before Sunday's game that he will likely miss a few days. The Orioles needed to clear roster space for left-hander Eric DuBose, who made his first Major League start Sunday against Kansas City.

With David Segui healthy and Larry Bigbie faring well in left field, there was not a pressing need for a less-than-healthy Surhoff, who could risk further damage by playing on a bum hamstring.

Manager Mike Hargrove said the injury did not appear to be serious, but neither did Segui's hamstring strain last month. Segui missed two weeks and just return...
