Organizational Communications

Organizational Communications carries with it many facets in order for it to be effective. This module has presented several of these facets through the assigned readings and the class interaction.
Communication is one of the most important factors in an organized and effective organization. Adler (1999) stated, “No matter what field and no matter how much you know about your job, specialized knowledge alone isn’t enough to guarantee success; communication skills are also vital.” I agree with this statement wholeheartedly because of my experience with operating within diverse organizations.
I spent four years in the United States Army in addition to 10 years functioning in corporate America. In my earlier years I used to be puzzled by the phenomenon of lesser skilled employees being promoted over more skilled ones but, it was shortly revealed why.
