Opinion on reform jail condition

Dear Boland,
Recently I read your article, “Serving Time the Old- Fashioned Way.” It is my understanding that you suggest eliminating some of the privilege inmates enjoy in prisons. I understand your feeling and I agree with some of your ideas.
Prisons are for criminals to accept punishment. People who violate the law should pay for whatever crime they have done. We shouldn’t show sympathy by providing them with a comfortable condition. Otherwise they would treat jail as their hotel, and they wouldn’t care about taking a risk to commit another crime.
