Abolish Capital Punishment?
When asking if capital punishment should be abolished, people are either completely sure of their answer or on the fence about the topic. The death penalty is possibly the most debated social issue of today. Many moral questions arise, and many people are angered at the thought of the abolition of capital punishment. Advocates of capital punishment seek retribution for the victim as well as the punishment of the responsible party. In order to carry out these duties, capital punishment should not be abolished.
In several cases where the death penalty was not the punishment for a murder, the offenders repeat their crime. Humans, being animals, have an animalistic nature.
