On the Communicativeness of NMET
Abstract With the development of communicative English teaching in China, the communicative approach has been widely adopted in different levels of tests, the National Matriculation English Test (NMET) included. In this article, the author tries to illustrate the communicativeness of NMET by analyzing its changes from 1993-2002 according to the characteristics, designing principles of communicative test. In the end, the author also puts forward his won suggestions for the further reforms of NMET in its directions for more communicativeness.
